Coronavirus Update. These are strange times and we can’t be sure what will happen over the next few months. We still hope to go ahead with FEZtival 2020 as planned but if we have to reschedule for the health of everyone concerned then we will. Watch this space.

2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the first gig by Calder Valley’s longest serving band Fez  (we beat the Outer Zeds by a couple of years).

When we held our 30th Anniversary gig in the Trades back in 2010, we jokingly said we would be back for our 40th –  now here we are ten years later and amazingly still going strong with a new album out in June.

So this year we plan to celebrate not just with a gig but with a weekend of events, a FEZtival if you will, featuring some of our favourite artists all of whom have a Fez connection. And yes, we know that’s a cheesy pun but we couldn’t resist it.

So save the date. The weekend of the 7th / 8th / 9th August will see a whole lot of musical talent on show. And being a notorious bunch of lefties we’ll be holding events at the two most respected and iconic not-for-profit community-owned co-operative music venues in the Calder Valley, the Trades Club and the Puzzle.

More details to come – follow us on Facebook for updates on the FEZtival. Be great to see you there.

Confirmed guests so far –

The Revelator Band featuring my bro’ and Fez founder member Pete Gillon

The Tragics featuring current and founder member Jerry Barker

The Cold Bath Street Band featuring former Fez member Simon Partridge

Much more to come – watch this space.
